Our Work in Harmony

At Harmony Communications Company, we believe communication is one of the most powerful tools for change. Over the years, we’ve supported public health, academic, and community organizations throughout Mississippi — helping them share vital information, reach the people who need it most, and build lasting trust.

Here are a few examples of the work that’s shaped who we are today.

Mississippi Public Health Institute (MSPHI)

Statewide Public Health Campaigns
Chris had the privilege of supporting several MSPHI-led initiatives — developing communication strategies, creative content, and messaging that build healthier, more informed communities.
Highlights include:

Maternal Health Innovation Program: Crafted messaging, scripts, and campaign materials to promote breastfeeding, safe sleep, and family health practices.
Overdose Data to Action (OD2A): Designed outreach materials and digital campaigns to raise awareness about overdose prevention and harm reduction.
Mississippi Violence Injury Prevention (MS-VIP) Research Team: Produced event and social media communications that highlighted research, community partnerships, and outreach efforts.
Behavioral Health Deflection Summit: Created branding, event materials, and media messaging for a statewide summit connecting public health, law enforcement, and community leaders.

Jackson State University

Community Prevention and Education Campaigns
Our work with Jackson State University — through partnerships with the Metro Jackson Community Prevention Coalition (MJCPC) and the Interdisciplinary Alcohol and Drug Studies Center (IADSC) — centered on preventing substance misuse and supporting healthy choices among youth and families in the Jackson area.
Our Role Included:

Creating educational and outreach materials that promoted prevention and wellness.
Supporting event communications for school-based and community initiatives.
Producing visuals and written content for local campaigns and prevention awareness events.
Coordinating and amplifying coalition-led activities across neighborhoods and schools.

Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH)

Health Equity Communications – COVID-19 Response
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked alongside the MSDH Health Equity Team to strengthen outreach and communication across Mississippi’s underserved communities.
Our work focused on:

Supporting the development and distribution of health equity messaging across social media and partner networks
Creating communication materials tailored to rural, minority, and vulnerable populations
Helping improve trust and engagement by making public health information more accessible and relatable
Coordinating with community partners to share accurate, culturally competent information

Community Engagement and Creative Storytelling

From neighborhood clean-ups to statewide summits, we’ve had the privilege of helping organizations tell their stories in ways that inspire action. We’ve collaborated with groups such as People’s Advocacy Institute, Operation Good, and local neighborhood associations to develop communications that elevate community voices and highlight positive change.
Our work spans video and radio production, social media strategy, photography, and content design — all driven by one purpose: helping good work get seen, heard, and felt.

Every project is a partnership. When we collaborate, listen deeply, and communicate with purpose, we create more than campaigns — we create connection. If your organization is ready to tell its story in a way that inspires real impact, we’d love to help.
